The mission of Campus Recreation is to bring people together in ways that foster a positive and active lifestyle. We are committed to creating an atmosphere of fun that encourages students to participate in our many activities. In fulfilling our mission to bring people together to have fun and be active, Campus Recreation aspires to be the best part of your day!

Through sports, fitness and a variety of competitive activities, we are dedicated to:

  • supporting the University's goal to create a vibrant life for students on campus
  • encouraging socialization and activity as a means to personal and professional development beyond the classroom.

  • Fitness Classes
    The Spring 2010 Group Fitness class schedule is now available. Classes begin on Monday, February 1 and run through May 7. Classes include spinning, yoga, pilates, ab attack, zumba, fitball, kickboxing, and more! Get the complete schedule.

  • Cat Cup Challenge
    With the start of a new year it's time to start the second half of the Cat Cup Challenge. Student Feud (The Adelphi Version of Family Feud) will be held on February 10 at 5:30 p.m. To participate and earn your hall Cat Cup Points, fill out the registration form and hand it in to your RA, Campus Rec, or by emailing your information to dianelindenmayer@mail.adelphi.edu by February 8 at 5 p.m.

  • CRS Memberships Now Available!
    Alumni, family members of students, faculty and staff as well as local residents can join a membership to use the Center for Recreation and Sports fitness facilities. Take a look at the membership details and consider joining today!

  • Swimming Pool Open
    The Swimming Pool is now open for recreational (adult) lap swimming! Check out the hours students, facult, staff and CRS members can swim at AU!

  • Intramurals
    • 2010 ICE Bowl A flag football event being held on Saturday, February 6 at 1 p.m. Sign up as a team or individual. For more information please stop by the Campus Recreation office or call us at ext. 4242
    • Melonball entry deadline Friday, February 5
    • Indoor soccer entry deadline Friday, February 5
    • 5 on 5 basketball entry deadline Friday, February 5
