| Graduate Assistants |
Graduate Assistants are part of the professional staff in Campus Recreation. Responsibilities include supervision of recreation facilities and staff, planning, promoting and implementing activities and events, as well as assist in general department operations, program development and new initiatives. Compensation includes tuition remission and a monetary stipend for the fall and spring semesters.

| Recreation Supervisor |
Recreation Supervisors oversee the Fitness Center, Gymnasium, Pool, Recreation Equipment Issues, Racket Courts, MP Studio and Office in the absence of administration or graduate assistants. They are to patrol the facility and are in charge of opening and closing procedures. They are to communicate all questions or problems in writing that arise to the Director or Assistant Directors.

| Fitness Center Attendant |
Fitness Center Attendants are to be highly visible and active as well as perform daily cleaning of equipment while also enforcing the Fitness Center’s policies and procedures. Issue towels, answer questions, show proper use of equipment, keep weights and equipment in proper place and maintained.

Gymnasium Lobby Attendant
|
Gymnasium Attendants are to be highly visible and active while enforcing the Gymnasium’s policies and procedures and ongoing cleaning.

Atrium Attendant |
Greet all patrons who walk into the facility. Answer phone calls and direct patrons to their desired location. Act as the first person that the patrons will interact with on our staff. Must be knowledgeable about programs/activities and facility. Direct patrons on how to use the ID swipe system.

Office Assistant |
Office Assistants act as the front line of reception to all visitors and phone calls to the office, issue equipment, and assist people with any question they may have about Campus Recreation to the best of their ability.

Intramural Supervisor |
Intramural Supervisor are responsible for having a working knowledge of all the game rules, and be able to finally identify game calls and help the officials enforce the rules. They also are to supervise the scorekeepers and officials as well as the intramural players.

Intramural Scorekeeper |
Intramural Scorekeepers are responsible for signing players in, checking eligibility, maintaining waivers, time keeping, and keeping statistics for the game. They also assist in pre-game set-up and post game clean up. |
Intramural Official |
Intramural Officials are responsible for having a working knowledge of all the game rules, and be able to finally identify game calls and enforce rules. They must also assist in pre-game set-up and post game clean up.

Equipment Issues
Assists with locker registration, issuing recreation equipment, folding towels, and putting away pinnies.

Weekend Building Attendant
|
Monitor activity/usage of the building on weekends during non-recreation hours. Record all activity, provide assistance to visitors and provide general information as needed.

| Lifeguards |
Lifeguards will work in teams of two. Enforce rules, water chemical tests, and general pool supervision of open recreational classes and lessons. (Nassau County Lifeguard certification and current CPR for the professional rescuer required. (25 yard lanes, 4 lane pool)

Group Fitness Helper |
Group Fitness helpers will be in charge of the class registration and sign in process; they will participate in the classes, and will assist the instructors. Our ultimate goal is for the helpers to get certified, and become instructors. We will even reimburse you for ACE or AAFA certification exam if you pass it and keep working for us.

Group Fitness (Aerobics) Instructor
|
Lead group fitness classes according to specialty. Some experience required, certification preferred. Reimbursement for ACE or AFAA certification.
