Thomas J. Ward, Jr.
Director
A 1993 graduate of Adelphi University's Honors Program, Tom Ward returned to his alma mater as Director of the Center for Career Development in May 2008. Prior to his appointment at Adelphi, Tom served as Associate Director for Corporate Relations at the Career Center of St. John's University, where he managed the department's employment team and developed and implemented programs aimed at building partnerships with corporations, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. Tom also served as an adjunct faculty member in the Division of Criminal Justice and Legal Studies.
While working in the private sector, Tom held the position of Director of Community Affairs and Facilities Management at Haier America, LLC. Earlier in his career, Tom served in local government and held the positions of Assistant to the Town Supervisor for Government and Public Affairs and Assistant to the Commissioner for Community and Youth Services for the Town of Oyster Bay, New York.
In 1996, Tom received his Master's degree in Public Administration (M.P.A.) from the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University.

Elaine Boylan

M.A. in Psychology from the Derner Institute at Adelphi University. Inducted into Psi Chi
Psychology Honor Society with an overall GPA of 4.0. She earned her B.S. in Communications
from St. John's University. Elaine's background includes work in the fields of financial aid,
broadcasting (MTV, WHN Radio), two years as Donald Trump's Executive Assistant and
over five years with the Center for Career Development.

Allison Clough

M.A. in Community/Counseling Psychology and B.A. in Psychology from Marist College. Prior to working at Adelphi, Allison served as the Student Activities Senior Advisor at Stony Brook University, educating clubs/organizations on successful event planning. Previous experience includes counseling at-risk youth for non-profit and governmental agencies, as well as advocating for college students with disabilities through L.I.U. at C.W. Post.

Jonathan Ivanoff

M.Div. from St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary and B.A. in Political Science from U.C.L.A. Jonathan is an ordained priest in the Orthodox Church and has extensive experience in pastoral, counseling and youth work. Before coming to Adelphi, Jonathan also served in IT management, account management, corporate training and consulting, and software technical sales and support.

Karen Parish-Autry

Karen earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Management through Adelphi University's
University College (the former ABLE program), and will be pursuing her Master's degree
during 2009. An integral member of the Center's staff for four years, Karen always
looks forward to welcoming students and alumni to The Center for
Career Development in Post Hall.
