Student Services Internships

Internships are an outstanding way to provide students with practice work experience in their chosen fields. An internship can allow a student to experience the actual responsibilities of a full-time job that the student may not normally be hired (i.e., qualified) to perform in a short-term, mentored, learning environment.

An internship may be one semester, a summer, or a length of time agreed upon by the student, employer, and school, and may be paid or unpaid.

Internships are primarily single, planned educational experiences for students. As such, they may receive academic credit for their internship work in agreement with and under the supervision of an Adelphi University department faculty member.
