The education department has redesigned all of its programs to be in compliance with upcoming expected changes in certification. The department is proud to offer to all of the education students a combined five-year B.A./M.A. degree. You must choose a liberal arts major (except dance) and then complete your education classes and field work in the mandatory fifth year.

- Extensive knowledge in a particular subject area.
- Knowledge of educational theory, teaching strategies, developmental theories, and techniques of discipline.
