Academic Accommodations and Adjustments for Students with Disabilities


In order to be eligible for academic accommodations and adjustments, students must submit a completed Petition for Reasonable Accommodations and Academic Adjustments form along with any required documentation of their disability.

Potential academic accommodations include, but are not limited to:

  • Extended Test Time
  • Distraction-Reduced Testing Environment
  • Note Taking Services
  • Transcription/CART Services
  • Sign Language Interpreters
  • Assistive Listening Devices
  • Reasonable Flexibility to Attendance
  • Adaptive Lab Equipment/Art Tools
  • Books, University Publications, or class materials in Enlarged Print or Audio Format
  • Textbooks in Electronic or CD Format
  • Tape or Digital Recording of Class Lectures
