You are required to check out of the residence halls 24 hours after your last final examination or by 5:00 p.m. on the day the residence halls close for the semester—whichever is first. While you are not required to remove all of your belongings from your room during the winter closing, you are strongly encouraged to take all valuables with you when you leave. The University is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged property.
All halls remain open during Thanksgiving break, winter intersession and spring break. If you will be staying during the breaks, you must inform your residence hall director at least two weeks in advance.
Requests for an extension to stay after the closing date are at the discretion of the Office of Residential Life and Housing. If you will be requesting to stay past the assigned closing date you must inform your residence hall director at least two weeks in advance.NOTE: Extended stays are subject to additional housing charges of $55 per night.
