Audio Recording of Class Lectures

Should audio recording of class lectures be deemed appropriate, the student for whom this accommodation has been approved must read and sign an Audio Recording Agreement and Promissory Note prior to using recording device.

Exam Proctoring

Students submitting a request to take an exam with the Student Access Office (formerly Disability Support Services) must use the Release of Examination form. This can be done online or by submitting a printable PDF to the Student Access Office.

Requests must be submitted at least five (5) business days prior to the scheduled date of the exam.

Accessible Parking

Parking Permits must be displayed on the dash of your vehicle anytime that you are using handicapped parking on campus, along with your NYS or County Accessible Parking Pass. Permits must be renewed annually.

All decisions regarding issuance of Accessible Parking Permits are made according to New York State Parking Regulations.

Service Animals

Adelphi University recognizes the importance of service animals to individuals with disabilities. The following policy has been established to ensure that people with disabilities who require the use of a service animal as a reasonable accommodation are provided equal access to the University’s programs and facilities by receiving the benefit of the work or tasks performed by such animals.
