Sophomore, Alexis Seeley is a guard for the Adelphi's Women's Basketball team. She began playing basketball in the 5th grade as an extracurricular sport. She began to expand her tact and interest for the sport when she played at Cumberland High School in Greenwich NJ. Even though Seeley is just a Sophomore her skill for the game will continue to thrive because she is one of the leading scorers for the panthers averaging 14.7 points per game and won the Rookie of the Year title.

"Alexis is among the best in 3 point shooting" states Womens team basketball manager Jennifer Iwumune. Jennifer also adds that "she sets the stage for the playing stlye and rhythm of the team she is truly a team leader". Alexis is estimated to win the 2000-2001 title for player of the year. Even with all of her accolates she is not seeking to make a career out of playing. "I will not make a career out of basketball because I just play for fun" says Seeley. Senior, Guard Shannon Farley presents an impressive image of Alexis stating that "she gives the team energy especially during practice and for her to be so young she builds the team" Farley also adds that "she is the best player in the conference". Alexis is certainly viewed as an integral part of this panther's team and according to teammate 2-3 guard Eliana Armijos "Alexis is an all around player offensively and defensively and she will keep getting better and better each year she plays".

According to Seeley she doesn't have any influences "rather I gain my drive from myself and no one else". Alexis Seeley is a gifted, talented and modest player who will continue to keep developing her game for basketball in order to insprie other interested young players that may grace the court of Woodruff and according to Eliana Armijios this will be a small task for Seeley to accomplish considering "she knows the game well"
