He Said/She Said- Should Roe vs. Wade be overturned?

by Miriam Dinatale

Roberta Polce- Junior "Keep [the decision] as it is. I think a person should have a choice if they are not financially stable to have the child. It depends on the situation there are reasons for having an abortion everyone has a reason."

Hilary Miller- Senior
"[We should] keep [the decision.] A woman has the right to privacy; it is part of a woman's rights."

Austin Barry- Freshman
"I don't think [Roe vs. Wade] should be legal at all. If you don't want to have the child, give it up for adoption. These women should put themselves in their mother's shoes. Your mother could have said, 'I don't want you!' Where would you have been? [With abortion] a child never has the right to be born before you kill it."

Paola Idez- Junior
"Abortion should be more difficult to get because a woman can easily spread her legs, and she wouldn't think twice about it. [Abortion] should be legal in the case of rape. My advice is to use protection, not only to prevent pregnancy but to prevent diseases."

Amy Mathew- Junior
"I don't think [Roe vs. Wade] should be overturned. The whole principle was to give the woman the right to choose to repeal that would be to take the fundamental principles away. It's not just a woman's right but an extension of our fundamental principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. However, this does not mean that I necessarily am for abortion."

Mike Loesch- Sophomore
"No, [Roe vs. Wade should not be overturned]. It's there, and it has been there for [nearly] thirty years. Why change it now?"

Samantha Oliver- Senior
"[Roe vs. Wade] was decided by the Supreme Court. It is part of our laws, and if they take it away, more women will die from hemorrhages when they try to get rid of an unwanted child [themselves]."
