Do you think the methods former President Bill Clinton used to grant pardons to convicted criminals were right?

Medina Vernon- Sophomore
"I think that if he was bribed then it was not right - former President Bush once did it. Why is everyone attacking Clinton? It's not right, but every [president] does it. Leave [Clinton] alone, and let him go on his way."

Sam Derzie- Alumn '93
"The president does have the right to pardon criminals, and he acted within the law. I do believe that he was bribed, but it hasn't been proven. If he took bribes, then it's not right."

Robert Holland- Junior
"No [his methods were not right]. I think it was an abuse of his power to grant pardons based on family ties and financial contributions."

Nathan DeDeo- Junior
"I think he used his power for the wrong reasons. If he can let a family member off, what says that he won't let someone else off."

Anonymous- Junior
"I don't think that it should be a law to begin with. I [am not familiar with] the situation but criminals are criminals."

S. Miller- Senior
"I think they should have investigated the list of people he pardoned. It [also] depends on the circumstances: Not enough information has come out yet about how money was involved."
