Adelphi returns to action
Nov. 6th @ Queens
Garden City, N.Y. - Both the Adelphi men's and women's swimming program opened their season with wins last night. The Panthers took on Baruch College last night and the women came away with a 95-25 victory and the men kept it slightly closer winning a 67-28 decision. The men took first in all 13 events last night while the women claimed first in 12 of 14 events.

Each swimmer received five points for first, three points for second and a single point for third, winning a relay was worth seven points. Every single swimmer on the male side won three individual events and then they teamed together to win the relay. Jerri Lester and Katie Mueller led the way for the women, each swimmer took three individual firsts and also helped the Panthers to take first in a relay. Lester won the 200 IM, 100 backstroke and the 100 breaststroke, while Mueller won the 50 breaststroke, 100 butterfly, and the 100 IM. Mueller and Lester teamed with Elizabeth Ebert and Kathy Dodd to win the 200 Medley Relay.

The Panthers return to action Thursday, November 6th when they travel to Queens to take on both Queens and C.W. Post at 6 pm.
