I remember watching the Matrix in 1999. It blew my mind away. The effects were futuristic. The story line was amazingly complex, as well as engaging. After that, every action movie used the same effects as the Matrix. But it would not be another 4 years until the second Matrix would make its way to the millions of fans around the world. People waited for the conclusion of the Matrix. The most amazing story ever told in years. (Or so we thought.)

In 2003, Matrix Reloaded was the second installation of the Matrix series. Many fans loved it. The action scenes were amazing. For example, the action scene between Neo and Agent Smith. Neo had to fight hundreds of Agent Smith's. I thought the plot and story line were not as deep as the first film, but the action scenes made the movie. Also, the second film made the concept of the Matrix more confusing. Instead of clearing things up, it just made less sense. But no matter what, the Matrix Reloaded lived up to its hype.

Some, however, hated the Matrix Reloaded. Believing that the second film had a weak plot and story line. To me, I don't understand their opinion about that. But to each their own. I thought the action was better than the first film. And what was interesting was that the two films had very little blood, only a lot of fighting. What I found was that a majority of people, not all, that loved the second Matrix movie, hated the third one. But the people who hated the second Matrix loved the third one.

Then in November, 2003, Matrix Revolutions came out at the same time in every movie theater in the world. The excitement was there for the conclusion of the Matrix series: The questions will all be answered. The wait would be over.

Instead, one of the most exciting and anticipated films to come out was a huge disappointment. The movie sucked beyond belief. I loved the first two Matrix's, but Matrix Revolutions was horrible. The plot and story line sucked. It was so slow and dull that I wanted to shoot myself through half of the movie. During the movie I hoped for an awesome ending, but that did not happen. The ending was anti-climatic and confusing. All the questions from the first two films were answered but then there were new questions that were left open, without answers.

The film started off from the ending of the second Matrix film. Neo was still under a coma and he was in a world between the Matrix and the real world. He was stuck there until someone rescued him. Of course Trinity comes to the rescue of her love. the romantic storyline was the most upsetting addition to the Trilogy. Every action movie has a one, and it makes me sick. But somehow the reason Neo and Trinity stay alive is because of each other. So basically love defeated the enemy. How very original!

Then in the middle of the film Neo gets into a fight with Agent Smith who is in a another body. But Neo was nearly defeated when he gets blinded and he can't see. I wished that I was blinded for the rest of the film. My nine dollars went down the drain. I wanted my money back. I wanted to burn the film so no one would ever see it.

The third Matrix film is a movie that should be forgotten. Like Godfather 3, Grease 2, Star Wars Episode I and II, Jaws III, and any horror movies with sequels. It suffered from the curse of the sequel.
