Letter to the Editor
"Bushism II"

Dear Editors,

Recently, the Massachusetts Supreme Court ruled that the State gay marriage ban was unconstitutional. Finally this country is starting to wake up and start accepting people. Vermont, Alaska, and Hawaii are the only other states who except [sic] gay marriages. But of course, there are the morons in this country who believe that gay marriage is wrong because it says so, in the Bible. Bunch of religious freaks in this country don't respect different people.

I am not religious but I am open minded about it. I don't think all religions are wrong. But I don't accept any belief that puts down a certain group like gays and lesbians. I believe that's wrong and just because a "book" (bible) says something does not mean it's right. Hey, if you don't believe in gay marriages then keep it to yourself. When you say that it should be banned throughout the world, you are affecting people's rights and liberties. You are causing hatred in the world. I don't respect anyone who believes that gay marriage is wrong. They are as dumb and ignorant as President Bush.

He forgets about the laws in this country and is pushing to make marriages only between man and a women. How can he take away the freedoms, rights, and liberties of a certain group of people. I thought we are supposed to be the most intelligent country in the world. I thought we were supposed to be the country of the free. All of that is B.S. Bush has made American look bad. Canada, Europe, and other countries in the world have accepted gay marriages. We say that America is more advanced than the rest of the world, but that is not true. We are still racist, we still put down groups of people, and we still don't know how to create peace with the world.

The people in this country have to wake up and stop being so stupid. Stop being the ignorant hicks that we are. Let's start respecting the Constitution of this country. Let's start respecting each other and excepting other people's differences. Then maybe, just maybe, we will live peacefully with the world.
