The campus recreation currently offers two sports clubs, the Shotokan Karate Club and the Ultimate Frisbee Club. The clubs are a forum run by Adelphi students who have interests in a sport, and provide organizational and leadership experiences. Both clubs are open to current Adelphi students, faculty, and staff. Beginner or advanced, each club offers opportunities for people of all ability levels.

The Shotokan Karate club was established in the Spring of 2003. The club offers top-notch training be a professional and licensed karate instructor. Training session are twice a week. Members have opportunities to hone their skills and test up to various levels. Competition opportunities are also available. The Ultimate Frisbee Club was established in October of 2003. This club offers instruction and competition in the sport of Ultimate Frisbee. Practices are student run and are held 2 - 3 times a week. It is the goal of this team to travel to other colleges and universities to compete against other clubs in the area. For more information, please contact Aaron Bjerke at ext. 6114.
