The Best of Intramural Sports

Fall 2003 Intramurals have been well underway here at Adelphi University. We started this semester off with Flag Football, Outdoor Soccer and 6 on 6 volleyball. Flag football ended in an exciting game between the Black Knights and the Free Agents, The Black Knights won 39-25, taking home the Flag Football Championships. They proceeded to the NIRSA Regional Flag Football Tournament held at Cornell University, where they won their first game and lost their remaining two.

6 on 6 Volleyball has also concluded this semester. 8 teams participated and Earle #1 Ballers came out on top.

The Aliens won the Outdoor Soccer Championships in a 1-0 match against Team Mehmet Turgut. Winning goal was scored by The Aliens, Aditya Kelshikar also on the Aliens Championship team:
Mario Bruzon-Luque, Alexandre Manov, Aditya Kelslukai, Veslin Pehlivahnov, Jordache Jaricha, Hiroto Takagi, Camile Holegen, Felipe Guerolie, Arash Rahmani, David Navarro, Kremema Youcheva, Angel Bogushev.

Also taking place at Woodruff was a Racquetball Singles Tournament, where Terry Wu and Victoria Markman participated.

A Badminton Singles Tournament took place on Friday, Nov. 21 where Chris Jacobi won the Men's Division Championship and our Department Director; Linda Gundrum took home the Women's Division Championship.
