Justin Timberlake
Justin Timberlake,
highly controversial?
So if you haven't seen Janet Jackson's latest stunt during the half time show at the Super Bowl, you at least heard of the controversy surrounding Justin Timberlake's strategic ripping of her costume viewed by 90 million people. Was it planned or not?

No need to worry, Janet admitted that she and Justin held a secret rehearsal without the NFL or CBS knowing and apologized if anyone was offended. Why did they do it? Maybe this was Justin's comeback to Britney Spears and Madonna's highly publicized lip-lock at the Video Music Awards.

Now throw in Justin's N' Sync buddy, J.C. Chasez and you've got a situation that's completely out of control. The NFL yanked this N' Sync-er from the Pro Bowl halftime show fearing that Chasez would try to pull a trick out of the bag. He was supposed to perform his latest single at the show and then was asked to do the Star Spangled Banner instead, but he refused.

On a lighter note, punk rockers Blink-182 and the legendary No Doubt have announced that they will join each other on a summer tour that will kick off in June in Indiana. It's been 10 years since the two bands shared a stage with each other, so be sure to get your tickets before they sell out.

The Used are currently working on their sophomore album and their follow-up to their hit single, "The Taste of Ink." Lead vocalist Bert announced that the album will not be mellow, but feature more piano melodies than their usual catchy guitar riffs. The album is tentatively slated to be recorded in March and is due out next year.

As for the Billboard Charts this week, Twista debuts at number one with his album Kamikaze (Atlantic), while Outkast holds strong to the number two spot with The Love Below that went platinum eight times.

Hilary Duff's album falls to number 23, but outnumbers the amount of albums Britney's latest sold by one million, making Hilary three times platinum. Could she be the next Britney? That's up to you to decide.
