Preparing for Graduate School

The Learning Center provides Adelphi students and alumni with free individualized assistance in preparing for graduate school entrance exams and in composing personal statements for graduate school applications.

The staff of this specialized Learning Center program is comprised of highly trained and multi-skilled undergraduate and graduate students. We are fully aware that the graduate school entrance exams—GMAT, GRE, LSAT, and MCAT—cause much fear and anxiety among applicants and our staff can help you master the content and develop the strategies necessary for success on these exams. Standardized test-taking is a skill that our staff members are expert in, and they can impart this knowledge to you.

We offer these services during the fall and spring semesters, as well as during both summer sessions. This fall, we are inaugurating intensive Saturday afternoon workshops (PDF 54 KB) and diagnostic exams along with personalized sessions during the week. Please note that in addition to weekday and Saturday sessions, assistance with personal statements is also available online; for further information, email learningcenter@adelphi.edu.

If you have any questions about these services, about the exams, or just want to talk with us, please visit us in Earle Hall, lower level. We look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your post-Adelphi goals.
