Student Organizations Student Organizations African Peoples Organization (A.P.O.)

The African Peoples Organization (A.P.O.) represents the interests of black students at Adelphi and sponsors programs to celebrate black culture.

For Kwanzaa, A.P.O. gathers family and friends to celebrate openness and goodness of life. In recognition of Black History Month, A.P.O. organizes panel discussions and challenges students with Black History Month Jeopardy.

Its many activities range from a membership party which welcomes students back to campus to Culture Shock, a cultural extravaganza that showcases student talent in exciting new ways.
