Student Organizations Student Organizations Beta Beta Beta (Biology Honor Society)

Beta Beta Beta, the National Biology Honor Society, recognizes and promotes outstanding achievement and research in the biological sciences. The Adelphi University Eta Epsilon chapter was established over 20 years ago.

The society arranges for distinguished lecturers to speak on topics ranging from biological research to ethical issues in research.

Membership is open to biology majors only. To be eligible for membership a student must:

  • complete at least three advanced science courses (two of these must be in biology)
  • achieve a minimum science GPA of 3.4 and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25
  • secure recommendations from three faculty members (two of these from science faculty)
  • provide a current transcript (student copy acceptable).
