UMOJA—the Swahili word for unity—serves as an umbrella organization for all of Adelphi's multicultural groups and oversees the planning of on- and off-campus events. UMOJA is committed to furthering students' educational goals and is dedicated to community service. During Multicultural Weekend, it strives to achieve both goals by encouraging high school students to seek a college education.

UMOJA is composed of the following groups:

• African Peoples Organization (APO)
• Caribbean Cultural Awareness Club
• Latino Students United
• National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)
• C.A.L.I.B.E.R.
  (Cause to Achieve Leadership, Intelligence, Brotherhood, Excellence, and Respect)
• International Student Society.
