Volunteer Services Program

Serving the community and becoming active and participating citizens in our society are two of the things Adelphi encourages through community service and volunteer programs. By matching the needs of local aid agencies, churches, and shelter with the interests of students and student organizations, C.S.I. acts as a springboard to serving others in need.

New volunteer initiatives developed by C.S.I. include the Freshman Community Action Program (F.C.A.P.) and Alternative Spring Break. F.C.A.P. offers incoming freshmen an immediate connection to Adelphi’s commitment as a University engaged in community service and social involvement.

Alternative Spring Break engages students in social awareness and action by offering community service projects. This program was inaugurated during the 2008 spring break through student service involvement in Costa Rica.
