A Message from Dean Kessler
Going to college is a time to learn and grow. Exposure to diversityof ideas, people, and activitiesis crucial to a well-rounded education. If you reach out, that is what you will find at Adelphi. We in the Division of Student Affairs are dedicated to supporting your well-being, growth, and success, in a caring atmosphere.
We seek to intentionally promote student learning and development through varied, high-quality services, programs, and opportunities that will allow you to balance the components of intellectual, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual growth. Please use this Web site to explore the many options available to students.
My role is to assist and support you in achieving your academic and personal goals. Please visit for guidance regarding University-related services, policies, procedures, rights, and responsibilities. One of our major goals is to create an overall climate of community and support that fosters learning and overall student development. Your questions, concerns, comments, and suggestions are always welcome, and help me in my role as student advocate.
We work with students to provide a variety of experiences during your years at Adelphi. Perhaps you are interested in athletic competition, participation in Greek life, membership in a student club or the Student Government Association (S.G.A.), trying your hand in student-run media such as The Delphian, becoming a resident assistant, or getting involved some other way. There are always plenty of campus activities.
Please take time to familiarize yourself with all relevant University publications. The Guide to Student Life is here to acquaint you with services, policies, and opportunities. Above all, take full advantage of attending Adelphi and get involved in the life of the University.
What you do and learn herefrom making friends to acquiring valuable skillswill last you a lifetime.
Best wishes,
Jeffrey A. Kessler
