About the Peer Educators
The Peer Education Program focuses on delivering up-to-date relevant information to the Adelphi Student Body delivered by Adelphi Students. The Peer Educators are made up of a diverse group of 20+ Adelphi students who are trained by the Health Educator in an area of interest, which includes alcohol and other drugs, sexual assault, sexual health, body image, nutrition, wellness and fitness. Through specialized training and national certification as a Peer Educator, as well as weekly meetings, we receive hands-on experiences in program & event planning, social marketing, and leadership development. We sponsor and participate in health awareness campaigns and wellness events for students in all areas of the health spectrum while having fun!

What We Do
We are leaders and are responsible for running well planned, interactive and fun events for the Adelphi student body. We also offer workshops upon request! Fill out our Request a Workshop online form.

Check our Calendar for a listing of events!

Our Mission
The mission of the Center is to deliver holistic health promotion programs and support to Adelphi students through peer educators. We strive to create a higher education environment that is supportive and encourages positive health promotion. The Peer Education program offers opportunities for the individual student and collective student body to grow through a variety of diverse experiences that are challenging, rewarding, and meaningful. Through bio-psycho-social-spiritual-diversity educational workshops and programs, along with a resource center complete with supportive literature, referrals and information on a variety of health, wellness and social issues that impact student health, the Center complements and supports promoting student learning and critical thinking. The Center is supported through a collaborative effort from on- and off-campus members of the community interested in offering help, information and support to Adelphi students.
