Della Hudson-Tomlin was born and raise in East Hampton New York.  She received her baccalaureate degree from Hofstra University and her Master’s degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  She has been in higher education for over 25 years, holding positions in many different areas.  She is currently the Associate Dean of Student Affairs and serves as the University’s Responsible Officer (RO) and primary Designated School Official (PDSO) for International Student Services. Dean Tomlin is dedicated to servicing the students of Adelphi University and performing community service.  She has been recognized by Government officials, organization, and Newsday for her commitment to community service.  For her outstanding service to the students at Adelphi she was awarded the Presidents Award for Excellence in Service. Dean Tomlin is proud of the services the program supports by the Division of Student Affairs and   believes the student can learn and grow in and outside the classroom.
