About Our Halls| Introduction

Adelphi has six residence halls for students on the Garden City campus. The main features of each residence hall are listed below to help you make your selection.

Chapman Hall

Chapman Hall

Chapman Hall was renovated in 1999 and features multiple bathrooms on each floor. The building is located near the Adelphi University baseball field. Rooms on the fourth floor have air conditioning.

Earle Hall

Earle Hall

Renovated in 2002, Earle Hall is the largest residence hall on campus, and includes the Honors College and its suites, the Student Organization Suite, the Language Lab, the Writing Center, and the Learning Center. It houses both women and men, and is located near the Olmsted Theatre and Competition Field. It shares the residential quad with Waldo Hall. Rooms on the fourth and first floors have air conditioning.

Eddy Hall

Eddy Hall

Eddy Hall, renovated in 2001, features central air conditioning for each room. Each floor has a large lounge and multiple bathrooms. Eddy also houses EXCEL, a mentoring program for new freshmen.

Linen Hall

Linen Hall

Linen Hall, renovated in 2000, is located next to the University's baseball field. Linen hosts the English Language Service (ELS), whose students provide an element that enhances the shared experience of students from around the world. The residents of Linen appreciate a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Rooms on the fourth floor have air conditioning.

New Hall

New Hall

The newest of Adelphi's residence halls opened in the fall of 2003. Each room features a private bathroom and individual climate control including air conditioning. Other features include lounges on every floor, a patio, and a gracious landscaped courtyard opening onto the campus.

Waldo Hall

Waldo Hall

Waldo Hall was recently renovated in 1998. Along with Earle Hall, Waldo helps to form the quad, which is a favorite among residents and hosts many activities throughout the year. Waldo is also home to the Health Services Center. Rooms on the fourth floor have air conditioning.
