U.C. Operations Set-Up Crew |
| Job Description: |
Operations Set-Up Crew members assist University Center management in the daily operation of an 85,000 square foot facility catering to the needs of the University community. Responsible for the physical set up of meeting rooms, greeting and attending to the needs of clients, maintaining organization of all equipment, and good presentation of the facility. |
| Qualifications: |
Must be willing to perform physical labor and be able to lift at least fifteen pounds. Must be in good academic standing according to Adelphi code and carry at least six credits. Effective verbal communication and customer service skills necessary. Honesty and integrity are essential as well as a commitment to the ideals of the College Union program. |
| Supervision Received: |
Works under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager. Also, takes direction from the Director and Associate Director. |
| Supervision Exercised: |
Ensures efficient operation and quality service of the University Center. |
| Responsibilities: |
- opens, locks, and monitors meeting rooms
- performs routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and storage areas
- checks in with manager on duty for assignments
- using functions sheets and daily folders, sets and breaks down rooms in a timely manner according to client specifications
- is aware of activity in the U.C. specifically regarding the inappropriate behavior that endangers the facility,
equipment, or persons in the facility
- contributes to the improvement of University Center services by suggesting ideas, programs, etc.
- attends all training seminars and staff meetings scheduled during the year
- performs other duties as assigned to support the operation of the University Center as a whole.
