Fact:
In the 2000 Presidential election, only 26% of 18- to 24-year-olds voted, making college-age students the most underrepresented age group at the polls. In the 2004 Presidential election, the turnout rate of that demographic rose by 5.8%

Our Mission
V.O.T.E.R.'s mission is to eliminate every obstacle that prevents you from voting in the upcoming election. We are a non-partisan coalition of students, faculty, and staff actively engaged in:

checkmark educating the community about critical issues
checkmark simplifying the registration process
checkmark ensuring that you vote!

We strongly believe that once you become informed about the issues at stake in this election and their impact on your future, you will exercise your right to vote. In 2004, efforts of the V.O.T.E.R. Team contributed to having Adelphi students fill out 606 Voter Pledges, 368 voter applications, and 105 absentee ballots. We provide links to registration sites, plus a list of contacts for more help.
