How to Become a Tutor

Do You Want to Become a Tutor?
Undergraduate students who have completed "Art and Craft of Writing" (or the equivalent) and all graduate students from any campus are eligible to become Writing Center tutors. Writing tutors are paid for their work, with raises for continued service. You do not have to be an English major to work in the Writing Center-we actively encourage students in all disciplines to apply.

If you think you would like to work in the Writing Center, you may download the application in .pdf format (below) or stop by the Writing Center to pick up a copy. Applications for Fall 2008 are due in the Writing Center by Monday, April 7, 2008.

Download the application: WCApplication (PDF 44KB).
