About the Presenters

Crystal Krudis graduated from Adelphi University with a B.A. in Sociology (’05) and a M.A. in Early Childhood Education (’06) through the Scholar Teacher Education Program (STEP). During her graduate year at Adelphi, she was a graduate assistant in the Office of Student Financial Services. She decided to change her career path after she graduated and hasn’t left Student Financial Services since.

She is dedicated to assisting students and parents navigate through the sometimes complex financial aid process to maximize their eligibility for financial assistance. As a former student herself, she understands the importance of exploring all options to help fund one’s education.

Her involvement in the University FoRE (Freshman Orientation Experience) classes has assisted students in learning not only about the financial aid process, but also about financial literacy (e.g., money management, spending plans).

Crystal is also a member of the University’s Diversity Committee and a regional committee member for the NYSFAAA Scholarship Program. Her involvement in these committees helps to bridge any gaps that students may encounter within the financial aid process.

Grace Moylan began her professional career at Adelphi University in the Office of the University Registrar in 2003. After working there for a year and a half, she transitioned to the Office of Student Financial Services—first, as an Information Desk Representative then as a Financial Aid Administrator to her current position as Assistant Director in our Loan Department.

While working at Adelphi University, she enhanced her professional development by enrolling in one of our graduate degree programs. In May 2012, she graduated with a Master’s degree in Community Health Promotion. The program department further recognized her achievement by honoring Grace with a Community Health Promotion Award. As financial literacy plays an important part in building healthy sustainable communities, she is committed to assisting students and their families successfully navigate through the loan process.

Grace constantly strives to take a personal approach in educating students and parents about Federal Loan Programs and Alternative Loan borrowing in order to provide options to pay for their education. Her goal is to financially guide students to become more educated and savvy borrowers. As a former student and loan borrower herself, she is more than aware of the burdens from student loan debt and of the importance of financial literacy in both her professional and personal life. Grace is beyond excited to share information with Adelphi University students to better prepare them for their financial and professional futures.
