Student Services

orientationAdelphi’s orientation programs introduce incoming freshmen, transfer and international students, as well as parents, to Adelphi.

The Orientation programs help students:

  • Prepare for academic life at Adelphi University
  • Make new friends
  • Explore the campus and its resources
  • Learn about activities and campus life
  • Learn about relevant policies and regulations
  • Become comfortable with the tradition into Adelphi University
  • Familiarize themselves (and their families) with the University experience

The Freshman, Transfer, and International Student Orientation programs are mandatory, and are led by trained orientation leaders.

First-Year Orientation is a three-day program for commuters and residents to learn all that Adelphi has to offer.

Transfer Orientation gives transferring students an opportunity to meet other students and learn about Adelphi before they start classes.

International Student Orientation for F-1 and J-1 international students and scholars is mandatory. It is also an essential part of your Adelphi experience.

Parent Orientation welcomes parents to Adelphi and encourages them to help students adjust to college life.

New Graduate students will receive an invitation to attend an optional orientation prior to the start of classes.
